Thailand Airport Open Free Wi-Fi Access

suvarnabhumi_airportSuvarnabhumi international airport in Bangkok, Thailand, is now offering internet services nikabel (wi-fi) free of charge for prospective passengers. Thus, Suvarnabhumi now compete with regional competitors, such as Singapore and Hong Kong, in the provision of Internet services.

So says Nirandra Theeranartsin, chief manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport, Friday, October,30, 2009. Nirandra revealed that the service – along with paid access to visitors outside the departure terminal, was able to enjoy this week, or more than three years after Suvarnabhumi Airport began operations.

The prospective passenger who wants to use the internet wi-fi card to show passengers (boarding pass) to the airport information officer to get a username and password. The passengers get wi-fi service at 1 Mbps.

Earlier, Singapore’s Changi Airport has opened a similar service in January 2008, while in Hong Kong has since December 2006. Earlier this year, Suvarnabhumi Airport has opened 126 computer kiosks equipped with free Internet access for passengers candidates who do not carry a laptop.
